Use cases
What this model is useful for
Understand unfamiliar code
Share a focused snippet and the expected behavior. A useful answer explains inputs, output and questionable cases without claiming that the entire project has been reviewed.
Prepare a fix and checks
Ask for a minimal change and the cases that should verify it. A written test is not the same as a passing test run; execution must be confirmed separately.
Use the client that fits your work
Chat works well for focused questions. Claude Code works with projects through the terminal and supported editors, while Claude Desktop is a separate graphical app. Follow the current CLODEx /docs setup.

Prompts you can try
A sample brief — add your own inputs. This page does not generate content or charge your balance.
Prompt for your own evaluation — no model response has been saved yet.
A form accepts a name made only of spaces
Training snippet: it is not production code and does not prove model quality. For a real demonstration, preserve the full answer and the test-run result.
A name is valid when it contains 2 to 40 characters after leading and trailing spaces are removed. The current check is:
function isNameValid(name) { return name.length >= 2; }
Explain the problem to someone who is learning to code. Propose a fix and examples for an empty string, spaces only, the name “Anna”, and a name longer than 40 characters. We use ordinary JavaScript length; do not silently change that rule.Make the prompt your own
- Replace the situation and dates with your own; add the customer’s name and contact details to the finished email.
- For a brief message, add: “Keep it to three sentences.”
How to check the result
- After trimming, both an empty string and spaces-only input are rejected.
- “Anna” passes, while a string longer than 40 characters is rejected.
- The answer does not change JavaScript length semantics without explanation.
- Proposed code is not presented as an applied and tested change.

Get started
How to get started
Try the example in CLODEx
Open the workspace, select claude-fable-5 and paste the prompt. The guide itself does not call the model.
Connect Claude Code or Desktop
Claude Code is a project assistant for the terminal and supported editors. Claude Desktop is a separate graphical app. Current connection and Gateway steps are in /docs.
Use the exact API ID
For an Anthropic-compatible connection, use claude-fable-5 and the CLODEx base URL from the documentation. An OpenAI-compatible request uses a different body and response format.
One API for your application.
curl --fail-with-body --no-buffer 'https://clodex.xyz/v1/messages' \

Model and integration
What this model is
Claude Fable 5 is an Anthropic model that accepts text, code and images as input and returns text. Upstream specifications and CLODEx route capabilities are verified separately.
How this version connects
CLODEx uses the claude-fable-5 ID. For the Anthropic SDK, Claude Code and the Claude Desktop Gateway, CLODEx documentation uses a base URL without /v1 and the /v1/messages route. Confirm the current setup before use.
What to consider
API access is not an Anthropic subscription
A CLODEx balance pays for requests through CLODEx and does not automatically unlock other Anthropic products.
The client is not the model
Claude Code and Claude Desktop are clients for a selected model. A catalog listing does not install those apps or guarantee every client feature.
Files must be shared explicitly
The model cannot see a folder or repository from its name alone. Share only the required material through a supported client and remove keys and personal data.
Before you submit
The model can propose an explanation and code, but it does not change your project by itself. Review the patch, run tests, and remove secrets or unrelated files before sharing input.

FAQ
Model FAQ
What is Claude Fable 5?
It is an Anthropic model for text, code and image input. In CLODEx it is selected with the exact claude-fable-5 ID.
How is Fable 5 different from Fable 5.1?
They are separate versions with different IDs. Do not transfer price, settings or results from one to the other; compare them on the same task.
Should I use Claude Code or Claude Desktop?
Claude Code focuses on project work through the terminal and supported editors. Claude Desktop is a graphical app. Both are clients, not model names.
Do I need an Anthropic subscription?
An Anthropic subscription and CLODEx API access are different products. Requests to this route use a CLODEx key and balance.
Can I share an entire project?
It depends on the client, material size and actual route limits. Start with relevant files, remove secrets and do not treat a context figure as a guarantee that any whole project can be loaded.
Where do I get an API key?
Open API Keys in CLODEx, create a server-side key and copy the Claude connection values from /docs. Before the first request, confirm that /v1/models returns claude-fable-5.
