Use cases

What this model is useful for

Answer from a policy

Provide a short policy and the question. Require a distinction between known facts and details that need system lookup.

Extract fields from a message

Extract the topic, product, urgency and missing fields. Your application still handles CRM integration and message delivery.

Apply a response template

Set the length, tone and required next step. Automatic sending requires separate validation and escalation rules.

Prompts you can try

Reply about a delivery date

The policy and message are fictional. Do not send the draft to a real customer without checking the order and your company policy.

Draft a reply to a customer in no more than 70 words. Store policy: city delivery takes 2–3 business days after dispatch; the carrier confirms the exact day; the tracking number is available in the customer account. The customer writes: “My order shipped yesterday and I need it tomorrow. Can you guarantee that?” Explain what is known and suggest the next step. Do not promise delivery tomorrow or invent a tracking number.

Make the prompt your own

  • Use your support categories and include “other” for unclear cases.
  • Decide in advance whether a message can have several topics or must have one main topic.

How to check the result

  • The reply does not guarantee next-day delivery or invent a tracking number.
  • It states 2–3 business days after dispatch, not after order placement.
  • The next step points the customer to their account or carrier update.
  • A reproducible example includes its prompt, full answer, claude-haiku-4-5 ID, review date and usage record.

Model and integration

What this model is

Anthropic positions Claude Haiku 4.5 as a compact model for fast, high-volume work. That positioning is not a CLODEx latency measurement.

Exact version

CLODEx uses the claude-haiku-4-5 ID. Features from other Haiku releases or higher-tier Claude models do not transfer automatically.

What to consider

No order data

Without an attached system, the model does not know status, address or prior customer contacts.

Automation needs safeguards

Use topic limits, required-field validation, logging and human escalation.

Speed must be measured

The Haiku name does not prove a specific CLODEx latency. Measure your workload and avoid promising instant replies.

Before you submit

The model sees the policy and message, not the real order. It does not know the carrier status, tracking number or prior support promises unless you provide them.

FAQ

Model FAQ

What tasks suit Haiku 4.5?

For short tasks with explicit rules and simple checks. Critical replies still need validation and escalation.

Can it answer customers automatically?

Only through your application with filters, logging and human escalation. The model does not send messages by itself.

Is Haiku always the fastest?

That claim requires a comparable CLODEx measurement. Latency depends on the request, mode and system load.

Can I use it in Claude Code?

Yes, when the key has access and the client follows /docs. Evaluate it on your task rather than relying on the family name.

Do I need an Anthropic subscription?

No. An Anthropic subscription and a CLODEx key are different products. CLODEx requests use its key and balance.
